So, I'm almost done fixing the portal page to where we can install it now, I need to know what sections you want and the welcome message you want to display

Oh a portal page? Well, interesting

It can prove useful, but we must be sure to strip it down to SIMPLE with capital letters.

What about some ressource related and some news/competitions?

Ok what should be displayed on the portal:

1) There should be lots of buttons/links to various things. Reason for portal is to offer the member lots of access to things which may be harder to find on the forums.

2) About us - We need a section right at the top to let the viewer know what Shadow Designs is all about and what we offer. (This can be put later in great detail but doesnt have to be too long and boring).

3) We need to feature, SOTW winners, Latest Showcase graphic, we need to list links to Forum, Resoures, Affiliates (evem display them), Contact us (email, TWITTER, FACEBOOK, YOUTUBE), we need a donate button on there (anyone who wishes to donate so we can get a .COM DOMAIN, maybe a history section, Advertising Packages.

4) Extras - We could add Awards (list winners, list prizes etc), Showcases (feature some of the best graphic pieces we have to display), Arcade (maybe intercept a page of some nice good fun games??) Shoutbox (intrigate a personalised or get a shoutbox code, sD Shop (we should have our own shop maybe?)

To start with Buttons, what do you mean by buttons... As for affiliates there will be a section for that with 88X31 buttons made by our affiliates to link their sites... As far as links for things on the forum. I think you need to create databases for forum codes, resources in each separate forum so we can link straight to the databases and they can find things easier.

Shout box is out.. Reason for this is noone (even on pbs) can seem to fix the coding correctly to not duplicate the shout box codes (tried several different ones).

About Us- I need you to write out exactly what you want displayed. So I can plug it into the portal!

I will work on section 3, however don't worry about the .com that's already going to be done when I get paid that was one of my surprises... You just had to ruin it didn't you ;p

By buttons I mean Links like we have at the topp of sD to home, help, login, logout, members etc

What do u mean it duplicates???
I used shoutboxes in the past and it seemed to work fine??

I will get the "About Us" up soon, just let me know how much I need to write etc

DAM!!!! If you do get a .COM for us THANK YOU SO MUCH you are truely awesome!
We should be able to hit activity all over too hehe (sorry for spoiling ) lol But yeah it would boost this place up.

The shop would be a great addition, I didnt like the money hack code it was vile lol
I think we could use some of Slightly Insanes ideas by having some sort of box or table listing the top 10 members and how many points they have earned etc or something on the lines

Yes, when i get paid in a week or two I had planned to register a domain and pay for 1 year of PB domain thingy.

As for the shoutbox. Everytime we put the shout box code in it duplicates the shoutbox putting the same exact shout box underneath the original one. NOONE can figure out why it's doing that So I scratched that idea.

With the portal page the banner/menu will be on it just like it is on the forum buttons and all, plus I'll have a links menu in the portal itself to things like Home, forum rules, top posters, latest tutorials, etc.

As for the "About Us," you need to basically write up something decently long but not too long, maybe include your staff members and what they do with little avatar pictures of each one of them, etc.

Back to the shop, again we need to come up with stuff for members to earn/buy.

since i've had several complaints about the dark and pink I decided to try a light skin... If approved, it will be implemented once the portal is complete and ready to install on the forum.
