A CUSTOMER OFFERED TO MAKE ME BUSINESS CARDS OF GLASS WITH MY LOGO. OMG! My real question was: Do you use them? And do they mean a lot to you - does a person seem more professional if he can show you a nicely designed business card?

I think they serve a few purposes. 1. Like being a reminder, the card can remind you to call or set something up with all there info on it. 2. Business people who keep a car book, makes there job easy. 3. Regular everyday people(me) keep them in there wallet incase i'd ever need them.

First off, business cards made of glass?! I've never heard of that. In answer to your questions, yes I use them, I stick them on the side of our fridge so we have the information just in case we ever need it. And yes, I think it does make the person appear more professional for having a business card. The design makes a difference as well.. I remember receiving one of my cousin's business cards for her massage therapist practice and I hated to say it, but the first thing I noticed was how poorly designed it was. The text was hardly readable because of the background and the color of the text itself. I was tempted to offer to redesign it for her but it wasn't my place.
