I think we should use this thread to talk about the upcoming changes and so that everyone knows what updates will be taking as well. Firstly the new skin and its features and then about the staff team. So currently Scott, RB and EleseAndrew are creating or have started on the new skin - design and coding wise. So there are big changes coming already with the skin alone but to mention the features that will be also included. We will get to talk more in depth nearer the time but right now its just in the early stages?

Anyways what I wanted to let everyone know is the changes that will be coming to the staff team. As we know 2 out of 5 staff members have been inactive for several months and its only fair to say that Me and Scott have been discussing this very carefully, the fact is there is no point in have 2 inactive staff when we need them the most and although we know their situations we have to take into account that the forum itself seems pointless in having 2 admins that are inactive. For that reason we have come up with a fair solution that for the time being, Amanda and Christian will be demoted down. Now let me clarify, what I mean is they will no longer be co-admins and instead I will be making the next most active and experience staff member co-admin. Now what will happen to Christian and Amanda, well till they do actually return to the forum, their staff positions will be demoted down to Moderators. That position will be secure for them no matter what till the foreseeable future. But right now, they wont be staff members since they are pretty much inactive, but on their return they will be moderators. As for April, with her superb design skills I feel her position will remain the same as sD's designer and a new staff position has become available and that is the sD's coder who will be Reverse Blade. Here is the breakdown of the new staff team that will commence with the new skin;

OWNER/FOUNDER - JAY
ADMIN - SCOTTCOOL
DESIGNER - APRIL
CODER - REVERSE BLADE
MODERATOR - CHRISTIAN (once returned)
MODERATOR - AMANDA (once returned)

If your unhappy with any of the above then please express/discuss by replying in this thread. I hope this sounds fair to everyone and can appreciate that this way we can secure a solid staff team that can help and support sD to the best of their ability.

Sounds fair to me... you have to think of the members and how everything looks to them, since all they see is that 2 of the staff members in a high position are highly inactive, one completely. And that's not really something that new members want to see, as it gives off the wrong message.

So I mean, you have to do what you have to do, as long as you have the forum's best interests in mind, which I believe that you do. When/if they can come back as full active members again, that's when you could think about possibly reinstating them in their positions.

Yeah I agree. We talked about it a bit and I wasn't pushing for admin. Kinda surprised me

Kinda sucks that we have to demote our two staff members, I know they have reasons and while were not making this final we have a forum to think about
