Thanks and no, just a simple design, I wanted to try and do a scene with some steps.
Heh I wish my house looked that modern.

What modeler and renderer are you using for this work?
Looks interesting so far, but I would suggest that you work on getting more of a value range in the composition--right now it's too bright everywhere. Another thing to look at would be antialiasing because some of your edges look a little ragged.
Looking forward to seeing the next version of this.

mental ray in 3dsmax, I would normally use vray but im going with mr this time. 16 target lights in the scene, difuse bounces seem to be working rather well for once . As for AA isn't that on by default?

I wouldn't know, I've never used MR.
Look at where the black piece of the floor meets the rest of the white floor, it's all jagged looking. Also there's that really harsh bright spot on the floor in the lower right.
Don't be afraid to hit your renders up with some post-production in Photoshop. It can do wonders and make a lot of difficult things in 3D land much easier.

That harsh bright spot would be a light reflection so that is as it should be. I was hoping for a few more of them actually I prefer to leave photoshop to the end of the piece. When I get the time I will update it. The black step is not looking very reflective atm.
